Muamalat Assignment, and my personal musing ;0

Anyone any recommendations of good resource materials for the topic Islamic Finance?I have to finish up a ten page essay on either of these five topics(aku gp paper pun tak sampai 5 page!)

1.What to do with interest Money?

2.Difference between Islamic and conventional banking.

3. Difference between Insurance and Takaful

4. How to improve the Malay/Muslim awareness towards Islamic Finance?

5. How to improve the economic situation of Malay/Muslim families in Singapore?

I find the last 2 very smokey, i dont think i will be doing that. either 1, 2 or 3. but i feel like doing all haha, no lah, crapping only. I know nuts about the very technical part of it, hence will appreciate as much help as possible, ie reference materials etc. definitely i cant do this alone.anyways, i have 2 months to finish this, hopefully i can; masyaallah, am so grateful for being able to go home almost everyday, a luxury not many received in ns.

I was having a chat with my friend a few days back:we shared about how God in His Grand Design, made Balance something crucial to be attained and worked for in this world: we are an ummatan wasata. So many things require Balance, to the extent that a hadith qudsi goes as such:I have created for this world a Balance, whosoever attains that Balance, attains Paradise.

The Balance between so many things:

Success in this world and Hereafter

Ilmu and Amal

Amal and Akhlaq

Zahir and Batin

Khauf and Raja' (fear, therefore despondency, versus hope, therefore complacency) Satan kacau both

Ikhtiyar and Tawakkal
and others.

My friend, Bro Lukman, who is himself married. hehe, gave me practical advice, to seek a spouse who is inclined towards tasawwuf.

he shared that Shaykh Nuh Keller identified a problem with muslim women these days;
That those who are inclined to tasawwuf are marrying men who are 'umum', not inclined to tasawwuf.

I mean, classifying muslims into pro-tasawwuf and not pro-tasawwuf is not exactly a legitimate measure, but, you know, you know what i mean. kulluna muslim. all of us are muslims, it is more of a matter of realization and emphasis put on tazkiyatun nafs.
It is, in a way, analogous to a muslim male being allowed to marry a lady from among the People of the Book. and disallowed the reverse.
So i asked: would it matter if she is from a different tariqah?
Of course not!
haha, i kept repeating, both on the chat window and to myself, good practical advice, very good practical advice...
Ini ilmu, pengalaman yang punya! ;)
and where can i purchase Ahmad Deedat's materials? eg books/videos

i married someone who was against my tariqah...and not quite inclined to tasawwuf...Allah's will is beautiful though..today he is looking for a shaykh :) Its Allah's way of guidance to others..and my shaykh teaches that..if you bear the pain and hurt of those who are against tariqah when they are against you, Allah willing, the barakah of the patience vested in you will bring them to tariqah :D
